
All this week, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has been celebrating National Wildlife Refuge Week, which recognizes the 552 land areas and 37 wetlands that are set aside to preserve fish and wildlife habitats. In particular, they're celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, a 19.3 million acre expanse in Alaska that's known as "America's Wildest Refuge." Special events like bird-watching hikes, GPS courses, bike tours, and arts and craft activities will be hosted at refuges across the country this weekend, check out their list for an event near you. [National Wildlife Refuge Week Events]Scandinavian Airlines has announced that it will begin offering daily non-stop flights between Newark and Oslo in March of next year. They'll also begin offering a direct flight from Copenhagen to Shanghai in 2011. [SAS Group]Do your dogs play poker? Well they can start to learn with a new PetStay program being offered by several Las Vegas hotels. Caesar's Palace, Rio Las Vegas, and the Imperial Palace are now letting four-legged gamblers stay comfortably, with relief areas, dog walking routes, and special room service menus.
