spook house joplin

Joplin - Joplin High School - The Gym - a janitor that had died on the floor and now when you walk across the floor you can hear this sound in the distance that says don't walk on me.

Joplin - Joplin High School - The Band Room - Its is said that one night someone heard drums playing and when they walked into the band room there was no one there. People have also claimed to see strange glowing lights, and there's even one report about a janitor who saw a young boy in the band room....but then disappeared.

Joplin - Main St. (private residence) - an ex-tenant reports faucets turning on by themselves in the bathroom when she was alone in the house, only to turn back on when she would shut them off. Hearing her record player playing.

Joplin - Old Freeman Hospital Bldg. - Feelings of dread, and not being alone and watched. None of the maintenance crew wanted to go to that floor by themselves.

Joplin - Peace Church cemetary - The body of a murderer named Billy Cooke was buried in the back of the cemetary on the south end. The grave site is tended to and cared for by someone. However no one has ever been seen there caring for it. The majority of the cemetary is unkempt. Also Eyes and a mysterious figure has been seen in the area of his grave.

So the day was pretty boring. Woke up at around 10am and got on my laptop; I listened to music, watched a few movies, talked to some people on MSN Messenger. Overall it was boring. It wasn't until about 8pm that things picked up a bit.

Anthony Hance just turned 18, so a surprise party was arranged for him at King Jack Park. Ryan picked me up at around 8 o'clock and we headed over there. It was pretty cool. There was a band that played some good music, I knew more than a few of the people who also went, and the giant birthday cookie was the most delicious thing I'd had all day. After the party a few of us were going spookhousing.

We left at 930 and met up with some other people in front of Big Lots. There were about fifteen of us, so it was fun. Of the fifteen I knew Ryan, Emily, Kelsey, Andrew, Josh, L-Dub, and Bethany. When we got there they were all waiting for us, and no one could decide on which spook house to go to. Initially they'd decided to go the The Gates of Hell, but when we finally got there the place was basically a shed, and for $10 it didn't seem worth it. Not to mention everyone coming out kept saying how stupid it was.

Ryan finally talked some of the girls to drive out to Wolfman House of Screams. They didn't want to go because they lived in Joplin, and Wolfman was out between Pittsburg and Oronogo. When we got there we got our tickets and waited in a half-lit, hot, crowded room...but it wasn't as bad as it sounds. When we finally got in there it was dark, and the whole thing was like a big maze. It took us about 20 minutes to get through, and our group was me, of course, Andrew, Emily, Kelsey, Bethany, and another girl who's name I didn't catch. Anyway, Kesley quit half-way through lol, and more than half the time either Bethany or Emily were holding onto me. To be honest I never really got scared, but there were a lot of neat things in there. It was solid entertainment well worth the $8 admission ticket. I tried to get Aleigha to come with us earlier, but I didn't get a hold of her before I left to see if she wanted to go.

Well, now I'm going to read my book to get that over with (damn CAIII) and watch The Omen. I've seen the original one, but I've heard this one is pretty good, so it looks like I'm going to be up until 3 tonight again.
